Whether you're a learner driver just starting out or looking for an intensive driving course to fast-track your success, we have the right solutions. Our professional team includes calm and friendly male and female instructors committed to helping you become a confident and safe driver.
Before you can drive on public roads as a learner or take the theory test, you must have a valid Provisional Driving Licence. The DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) issues the provisional licence. To apply, you’ll need to complete the application form (Form D1), which is available at most Post Offices or can be completed online via the official gov.uk website.
You can apply for your provisional licence up to three months before your 17th birthday, but it will only become valid once you turn 17. This means you cannot take lessons on public roads or sit the theory test until your 17th birthday.

2. Pass Your Theory Test
You can begin your driving lessons before passing the theory test, but you won’t be able to book your practical driving test until you’ve successfully passed the theory exam.
The theory test consists of two parts:
* The multiple-choice section
* The hazard perception section
Both parts are taken on the same day. The questions in the multiple-choice section and the format of the hazard perception test depend on the type of vehicle you’re learning to drive.
A key element of the multiple-choice test is the Highway Code. To read the official Highway Code, click here.
There are also plenty of helpful videos available from the official DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) to guide you through the test.
Once your instructor feels your driving has reached a suitable standard, you can book your practical driving test. The availability of test dates can vary depending on how many other learners are applying at the same time for your chosen test centre.
It’s important to always check with your driving instructor before booking the test to ensure you’re fully prepared and confident in your driving skills.
Remember, the DVSA also offers many helpful videos to give you a better understanding of what to expect during the practical test.
